Donuts Are Forever 4, was NYC’s annual tribute to the late, great James “J Dilla” Yancey. DAF4 took place on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at The Bell House in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn. Music was provided by ?uestlove of The Roots along with DJs Brainchild, Parler, Low Key & Tara. $4400 was raised and donated to the J Dilla Foundation.
I was in the building for this and DJ Brainchild ripped it down, got to finally meet Ma Dukes and was introduced to Original Sin Cider. Good times, good times.
