Tis the season to be jolly so I’m pulling out a Christmas fav that got flipped into hip-hop records, Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime.”

“Wonderful Christmastime” is a 1979 Christmas song by Paul McCartney…The notable synthesizer riff was played on a Sequential Circuits Prophet-5. The song was later added as a bonus track on the 1993 CD reissue of Wings’ Back to the Egg.
De La Soul (via Super Dave West) flipped it for “Simply” from AOI: Bionix:
