A few years ago Nodfactor asked The Alchemist to list his “top 12 Rapping Producers”, essentially, who he thought was the best producer on the mic. He chose Large Professor, someone we can’t really argue with but I’m sure there are folks who will have a differing opinion. (I think DJ Quik was a glaring omission from his list). In fact DJ Scratch threw Lord Finesse’s name in to the ring for that title when we spoke about it. Now J Rawls, Diamond D, Kev Brown and Oh No! have revived that debate with the track “Best Producer On The Mic.”
