According to Allhiphop.com, producer Tony D, most widely known for his work with Poor Righteous Teachers, was killed in a car accident on April 4, 2009 in his hometown of Hamilton, NJ.
Police said Tony D., born Anthony Depula, lost control over his 2002 Jeep when it struck the fence of a local cemetery, causing the vehicle to flip onto its passenger side.
A number of neighbors attempted to remove the producer from the Jeep as they waited for emergency personnel to respond. Tony D., who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Capital Health Systems for treatment, where he was pronounced dead for a severe injury to his neck.
Anthony’s memory will be left to be celebrated by the many wonderful Silvestro and DePula family members and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Viewing hours for Mr. DePula and the sharing of fond memories among his family and friends will be held on Monday from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street, south Trenton. (Parking facilities are located directly behind funeral home).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton.
