Smirnoff’s Master of The Mix wrapped with DJ Scratch declared the winner. However, this was one of the coolest parts of the series, when the three DJ/producers had to remix a Talib Kweli acapella.
Viewers were given a sneak peak inside of their respective recording spaces, including Scratch’s lab Area-51.

Kanye West Actually Remixes “Power” [AUDIO]
August 20, 2010
For the remix to “Power” Kanye did more than just slap some new voices on the same beat. While he kept the drums and chanting chorus it was refreshing to hear new layers of guitar, change ups with piano and nods to Snaps “I Got The Power” during his verse.
I may be making too much of this but it’s refreshing and maybe a sign that folks are saying eff the BDS spins and will actually get back to remixing a song when they are saying it’s a remix. Props to Kanye (and iheartkicks)
