Maybe he wasn’t in the mood. Maybe he was high. But Daz Dillinger wasn’t much in a mood to talk beats. He was in the mood to talk money, hustling beats and anything that comes from making the beats. Daz Dillinger Slides to “The Left Side…”

August 4, 2008

On August 12th rapper/producer Daz Dillinger will be dropping his latest work, Only On The Left Side, on Fontanta Distribution. The disc features production from Swizz Beatz and Soopafly as well as guest appearances Keak Da Sneak, Snoop and Tyrese.

The former Death Row inmate and half of the Dogg Pound has been touring with his cousin Snoop but insists he was “on another bus” when two colleagues of Snoop were recently arrested for marijuana possession.

He is working with the new owners of Death Row Records to sell unreleased music that he recorded when he was with the Row and is still busy behind the boards.

“I’m doing a lot of producing, I just don’t be giving my beats out,” he says. ” I can make more money with my beats than the person I give it to. Because I put the records out, I’m seeing the money come in, I’m getting the ringtone money, everything.  I can make a song tonight and have it up on iTunes in 2 days.”
