After having fun with that MOP blend on Twitter my man DJ Critical Hype put together this blend of Black Milk and Eminem on some wish list shit. (“Black Milk needs to be on Slim’s next album”) Pretty hot. Look out for Critical Hype’s Freeway Blend mix that I assure you is worth the download.

Words from Black Milk on the passing of his friend and colleague Titus “Baatin” Glover of Slum Village…
Baatin was the first to discover Black’s production talent nearly a decade ago, and they’d been tight ever since. On July 20–less than two weeks before Baatin’s death–the reunited Slum Village filmed a video for a new track from their forthcoming album “Slum Manifesto.” Black Milk Broadcast reveals some exclusive footage from the video shoot.

Black Milk Vs. Cam’ron
June 7, 2009
Ok, so “controversy” may be a strong word, but I know more than a few heads who took notice of Cam’ron using the same sample in his “Let’s Talk About” as Black Milk’s “Losin Out.”(Read Nodfactor’s Interview with Black Milk here.)
Of course the old Guru quote applies, “rap is an art, you can’t own no loops…” but I can damn sure say which one I liked more.
So while I was at the OSS I asked Black Milk about the making of the record and what HE thought about Cam’s joint.

BLACK MILK: The Nodfactor Interview
October 26, 2008
By Jerry L. Barrow

For the past few years he’s been turning heads with beats he’s done for Slum Village, Elzhi, Pharoahe Monch, GZA, Torae, Skyzoo, Guilty Simpson, Fat Ray, Royce Da 5′9 and his own solo projects like Sound of the City and Popular Demand.
On October 28th his new CD, Tronic, drops on Fatbeats Records and Nodfactor.com talked to the man who has been compared to the late J-Dilla about his beats vs. his verses, sampling Prince and under what circumstances is it ok to steal drums from another producer. [Read more]
