As part of their week of Sean Price coverage for his birthday, WatchLOUD.com spoke with Smoke DZA and Harry Fraud about their earliest memories of the late MC. Surf School’s Harry Fraud revealed that Ruck was the first established artist to take a chance on his sound.
“To be dead ass Sean Price was the first rapper in the game to show me love. Me and my man Eddie B had gone to SOB’S to do a show when Monkey Bars came out. After the show Sean was standing outside of SOB’s smoking a cigarette and my man handed him the album we just finished. The next morning his partner woke him up about a voicemail. “He said ‘Yo, I wanted to let you know that the project is fire. Give me a call today.’”
Harry made the call and Sean invited him to his house to hear unreleased music and record. Watch the full video below.
