A few weeks ago I was invited to hear the new album by Tanya Morgan and 6th Sense, “Rubber Souls” at Stadium Red in Harlem NYC. My A-like Datwon Thomas was in attendance along with my former Scratch Mag cohorts Scott Wells and Alvin Blanco and before you knew it a really great interview broke out. Watch as 6th, Donwill and Von Pea drop jewels about how they created the album, adjusting to someone else producing the project and what their fans will think of their new sound.

“We started this album two years ago and we set up to go record three songs at Rubber Tracks,” says 6th Sense. “I’m a huge Beatles fan and they have an album called ‘Rubber Soul,’ which was actually their SIXTH album and the first album where they  started experimenting and we decided to go with it. At one point we were going to make that a group name but our lawyer said that was impossible.”
