Bloggin 4 Beats: Maxwell Week

July 6, 2009 by JLBarrow

This week on Nodfactor.com I will be debuting a new beat everyday sampling Maxwell to coincide with the debut of his new album Black Summer’s Night.

To kick things off I (re) present the interview with the man who started the craze, Pharoahe Monch, where, among other things, he talks about sampling “Til The Cops Come Knockin’” in his classic, “Queens.”

The fact that he’s rocking Maxwell’s hairstyle from 1996 is purely coincidental.

Tomorrow find out how I clipped his  “Pretty Wings.”
